Suburban East Tokyo : Photozine. 

Photographs made in the Edogawa district of East Tokyo. 

These dwellings, family-owned shops and small factories, occupy urban spaces which have resisted Tokyo's vast hypermodern sprawl. Built of wood and tin after Tokyo was destroyed in WW2 - and now targets for demolition - they are zones of transition. They are lacunae in the fabric of the megacity.
